Southampton Concert Wind Band invite you to:
The Christmas Concert
With the beautiful voices of St Anne's School Choir
St Andrew's Church - Saturday 9th December 2017 at 3.00pm
Southampton Concert Wind Band and the Choir of St Anne's School are back - joining forces again for the ultimate antidote to Christmas shopping and those hectic festive preparations. Sit back, join in, relax and enjoy, as the band and choir entertain you with their dazzling musicianship, playing your favourite tunes and possibly ones new to you, which you will be humming on your way home.
There is something for everyone, from the big band sounds of Glenn Miller, to the infectious music of the movie "Frozen". If you want to sing along to Frozen, just pick up the words from any child close to you, they will be singing! And what would Christmas be without the "Skaters Waltz" to sway to, imagining you are gracefully swirling around a Parisian ice rink in years gone by?
The choir will bring you a wonderfully varied programme. Their versatility will entertain you with styles ranging from Duke Ellington's "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" right though to Britten's "This Little Babe" from his Ceremony of Carols. The complex piece being performed was written to voice a 16th century poem by Robert Southwell.
Tickets are priced at £6 adults with free entry for children and can be purchased on the door, or in advance from St Anne's School or by emailing email@example.com.
If you would like to book the band for any kind of function (private or public) please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We take every care to ensure that these dates and times are accurate but would recommend contacting the band or the venue if you plan to travel any distance to a concert - dates and times may sometimes get changed at the last minute and we don't want to cause any disappointment!
